Baked Feta with Cherry Tomatoes and Herbs
A simple, flavorful, and quick Mediterranean-inspired dish where feta cheese is baked until soft and creamy alongside sweet, burst cherry tomatoes.

Ingredients
- 1 block (200g) Feta cheese (low-fat if available)
- 300g cherry tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- A few sprigs of fresh thyme
- Freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Place the block of feta in the center of a small baking dish.
- Arrange the cherry tomatoes and sliced garlic around the feta.
- Drizzle everything with olive oil.
- Sprinkle the oregano, fresh thyme sprigs, and a good pinch of black pepper over the feta and tomatoes.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the tomatoes have burst and the feta is soft and slightly golden.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- This dish is excellent served with a side of cooked green lentils or whole-wheat pasta to make it a more complete meal.
- You can also add a handful of pitted Kalamata olives to the baking dish for extra flavor.
